This workshop introduces a project Laurel has been developing (so far through artwork, video, and lectures) and leads everyone through creating their own energy spheres using a prototype of a new tool, created in collaboration with Soft. In doing so, we will attempt to transform the traditional circular image format often used online, such as in phone contacts, profile pictures, avatars, etc., into an experience for a more resonant and poetic experience.
11/9 Laurel Schwulst’s Workshop, ‘Energy Spheres’
예술가이자 개발자, 교육자인 로럴 슐스트 Laurel Schwulst가 (salt)에 머무는 동안 ‘에너지 스피어’ 워크숍을 엽니다.
‘에너지 스피어’는 사람, 장소 또는 사물의 에너지에 대한 원형 이미지를 생성하는 워크숍입니다. ‘에너지 스피어는’ 로럴이 2023년에 시작한 프로젝트로 영상과 어플리케이션, 강연 등으로 형식을 달리하며 확장합니다. 이 워크숍에서는 프로젝트에 대한 소개와 함께 로럴이 제작 중인 앱의 프로토타입, 피그마, HTML, CSS 등을 사용해 원형 이미지를 생성합니다. 이를 통해 휴대폰 연락처, SNS 프로필 사진 등 온라인에서 종종 사용하는 원형 이미지 규격을 보다 공명적이고 시적인 경험을 위한 도구로 전환하는 것을 시도합니다.
